Aiming at plateau agricultural environment problems such as agricultural non-point source pollution in plateau lake basin, heavy metal pollution in farmland soil, low utilization rate of agricultural solid waste and serious soil and water loss, our university applied for the major of Environmental Engineering in 2011. The major of Environmental Engineering of Yunnan Agricultural University is affiliated to the College of Resources and Environment. The teaching and research focus of this major is mainly on farmland non-point source pollution control, soil heavy metal pollution treatment and restoration, and agricultural organic solid waste resource recovery. It started to enroll students in 2012.
The main discipline of environmental engineering is: environmental science and engineering.
